Let’s Play Cork, in association with Cork City Council and the Cork Business Association, invite you to come out to play on Maylor Street on Saturday, 28th March. With a street full of games, chalk art, and more, young and old can join in the craic. And it’s not just confined to the streets — many of the local shops are joining in with playful offers, discounts, and fun ways to engage in-store.
This playful takeover is part of Open Streets Cork, a movement that reimagines our city streets as shared spaces for people — not just for cars. By giving priority to play, walking, and cycling, we’re highlighting how small changes in how we move through the city can make a big difference for community connection, climate adaptation, and cleaner air.Expect colour, laughter, and creativity around every corner as Maylor Street transforms into a hub of imagination. From giant board games and spontaneous performances to playful pop-ups and surprises for all ages, there’s something for everyone. So grab a friend, bring your curiosity, and travel sustainably to join us in celebrating a greener, more playful Cork.
Event runs from 1pm to 3pm.
