Playing it Forward

Let’s Play Cork and P4Play would like to invite you to attend a unique conference event! We seek to share ideas, research and experiences that can be used to make our communities, towns and cities better places to work, live, learn and play.

Free to attend. Register here

Using a playful approach to information exchange, you will get to meet a broad range of people working in health, education, environmental, artistic and civic organisations.  We will examine the use of play, both as a philosophy and as a tool, to work creatively and evolve new ways of approaching the issues that challenge our society.

The conference will feature two main sessions:
Playing it Backward – which will share details and insights on exiting proiects and current research.
Playing it Forward – where ideas and future projects for playful ideas will be examined.
And of course opportunities to put the theory into practice – with conference games interspersed!

Full programme details will be released soon, but we can share some of the highlights with you.
We are delighted to be welcoming Marguerite Hunter Blair, CEO of Play Scotland, she will share their advocacy journey on enabling Scotland adopt the UN Convention on Right of the Child to play and their development of a National Play Policy.
Theresa Casey – one of Scotland’s leading Play Consultants, who will present findings from one of the P4Play research projects based in East Lothian
Samuel West – with his unique take on playful organisations,

So for now reserve you place and book the event in your diary –  for you are coming to Cork – the most playful city in Ireland, that rhymes with New York!
